About the Author

Wayne Turner has been taking photographs for the last 35 years. His love for photography started as a boy with his first Kodak Instamatic camera starting with black and white photography.

Wayne wrote his first training manual for SLR film cameras back in 1986 and has been training and mentoring photographers ever since. He studied photography with the New York Institute of Photography and has subsequently written two books and ebooks. He is a guest lecturer and mentors photographers using the one-on-one mentoring approach.  

He moved over from film to digital in 1999 and hasn’t looked back since. Although he uses the digital format he is passionate about bringing photography back into digital photography. Wayne is also a freelance technology producer for a local radio station.

Wayne lives in Cape Town, South Africa with his wife Rene and three daughters and three dogs. He enjoys photography, producing radio programmes and listening BBC radio.
